AMY JORDAN
A Liberty-First, Constitutionally Limited Republican Platform
NATURAL RIGHTS & FOUNDING PRINCIPLES
Core Principle: Rights are inherent, God-given, and pre-exist government. Affirm that the rights to life, liberty, property, free speech, self-defense, and conscience are natural rights secured — not granted — by government. Reject the idea that rights may be suspended for convenience, political pressure, or declared emergencies. Oppose legislation that conditions rights on compliance with federal mandates. Require lawmakers to justify all legislation under enumerated constitutional authority. Restore the Founders’ vision of a federal government limited in scope and power.
CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNANCE & SEPARATION OF POWERS
Core Principle: The Constitution is the supreme law of the land. Reassert Congressional authority over lawmaking and spending. End executive overreach and abuse of emergency powers. Require constitutional impact statements for major legislation. Oppose governance by executive order when Congress has not acted. Strengthen oversight of federal agencies and executive actions.
NON-DELEGATION & ADMINISTRATIVE STATE REFORM
Core Principle: Laws must be written by elected representatives, not unelected bureaucrats. End unconstitutional delegation of legislative authority to federal agencies. Require Congressional approval for major regulations with economic or civil-liberty impact. Sunset or eliminate agencies that exceed statutory authority. Restore Article I powers to Congress and limit agency rulemaking. Require cost-benefit and liberty impact reviews for all regulations.
A stronger future begins with stronger schools. Funding for K–12 education is largely state-based — but Congress controls federal grants, national standards, and Title I funding, allowing for major national reforms. AMY’S EDUCATION PLAN 1. Increase Federal Funding & Raise Teacher Pay Create a national minimum teacher salary tied to increased federal grants. Invest in school modernization and teacher retention. 2. Guarantee Mental Health Support in Every School Require minimum counselor, social worker, and psychologist ratios as a condition of federal funding. Expand telehealth access for students. 3. Healthy, Nutritious School Meals Ban ultra-processed food in school meals. Fund kitchen upgrades, fresh food programs, and farm-to-school partnerships. 4. Smartphone-Free K–8 Classrooms Congress cannot ban smartphones nationally — but can: Fund secure storage systems Create national guidelines Support tech-free school initiatives 5. Restore Arts Education Expand federal arts funding and support arts programs in high-poverty schools. 6. Support Students With Different Abilities Increase IDEA funding for special education.
